During the year Barbagia No Limits organizes several 5,
7 or 10 days nature campings, for chidren, youths and
adults, during which the nature guides suggest a complete immersion in
the more untouched, suggestive and rich of traditions Sardinia's area:
Gennargentu, a real faunal and vegetal biodiversities' safe.
It's possible to practice sport activities
as: trekking, canyoning, canoe, speleology, orienteering.
The green weeks and the nature campings
are held in Gavoi, a little village on the Barbagia's mountains, 800 m,
in the future Gennargentu park's heart.
The village's inhabitants were once skilful blacksmiths, carpenters, tradesmen
and mostly shepherds who, during the coldest period, were use to move
with the droves all over the island to winter.
You will not miss excursions in the more exclusive areas,
as Supramontes, where there is the unique primary forest in Europe never
cutted. Here we will can observe wild animals and rare botanic endemisms,
numerous in the area.
Activities
In a pristine environment on the Gennargentu
slopes, with skilled nature guides, you will can listen to nature's
voices: the rustle of wind blowing trees' slings, the robin's melodious
singing or the goshawk's authoritative call which is looking for the mate,
or follow boars' and moufflons' tracks, and make of them the mould by
chalk.
Understanding why those strange protuberances took shape in the trees'
trunk or who were the Sardinia's 'Jurassic park' inhabitants ...
Special activities…as special as you are!
Barbagia No Limits proposes also alternative activities as visiting agrarian
and zootechnical firms and participating to the fruit's and vegetable's
harvesting, or getting up at dawn to follow the shepherd going to milk
the sheeps and attending to the cheese's production, and then enjoying
the fresh ricotta.
Cork's production: following the extractors who, with skilfulness, divest
the oaks from the precious covering and understanding how a fine wine's
cork comes up.
Accomodation
We have 25-30 beds with toilette, kitchen and a large meeting room,
in an ancient house (beginning 1900) entirely built by pink granite.
For numerous groups, we collaborate with hotels absorbed
in the vegetation and situated on the marvellous Gusana lake's bank, where
it will be possible, by canoe, to explorer all the hidden and suggestive
places.
